...and I am a professional long-arm quilter and provide a service for those who prefer piecing and leave the machine quilting (or longarm quilting) to the professionals. I have been in business since my machine was delivered late in 2006 - thanks to my husband investing in me and my creative innovation. My friendly {smile}, clean, smoke free studio is located in Western Washington - Renton to be exact. My quilting is done using a Gammill Statler - top of the line digital technology for a smooth, consistent and professional look. I have a large variety of traditional, contemporary and artistic designs full of imagination and personality. When combined with your beautifully pieced quilt tops - my pattern and thread selection will surely compliment your piecing!

Hi Rachel - great website! I'm curious how long you've been machine qulting for, and how you learned to use the machine..?
Thanks!
Jera
Hi Jera,
Thank you for the compliment! I've been machine quilting for 3 years. Before I had my business, I would take and quilt my quilt tops in Montana on my Aunt's longarm machine. She encouraged me to pursue my own business here in Seattle. Prior to purchasing my machine, I took 4 days of classes at Innovations Machine Quilting Conference (Tacoma) to research the different type of machines and understand longarming as a business rather than a hobby. I still continue to take classes at Innovations every year since I purchased my Gammill Statler. If you have any more questions, please feel free to email me at rachel.kornell@quiltergirl.com or respond with a comment. :)
Thanks!
-Rachel
